~Another page turned..~

As all of the fellow college students know... Spring 2012 Semester is officially over! HOORAY I made it through another year of college. Only a bit more to go. Some new updates in my life: Brandon moved to California to sell pest control 3 days ago. We will be joining him one week from today! I can't wait to be back in Cali. I could live there forever and ever. It is an awesome place. We will be there for the summer and then come back to the good ol USU for fall semester.

Snipets of the past few months:

Tylee is in LOVE with the park! She asks to go first thing in the morning and throughout the whole day. Her favorite is going with her cousins 'Tasen (Kasen) and Body (Brody)' I will soon post pictures of them. (They are on shannon's camera)

I finished reading the Hunger Games for the second time so that I could see the new first movie and one day decided to attempt doing my hair like Katniss. It was a fail, but my hair is getting VERY long so I thought I would document it. I finally went to the movie with some of my siblings, Brandon and Shannon, Brichard (Brooke and Rich) while the grandparents watched the kids. It was a blast!

Recently we have been watching American Idol in between school and family and jobs and little Tylee picked up some mad skills. Cute Amanda (my sister-in-law) was able to capture this awesome moment on film. I will tell you that Tylee truly is my life and joy. She is always doing new things that no one really taught her. Its amazing how fast kids can pick up on things. One thing that she says all the time now is "Shock-it (Chocolate) I yuv (love) you". It is so so funny. I don't even eat chocolate very much, I would rather have fruity candy so I think that this is HILARIOUS. And she always asks for 'canny'. We are in big trouble with this girl. She rules the house.

Tylee's new favorite animal is the birdy. Brandon was able to catch one in the garage after it flew in and she loved it. She didn't want to let the poor thing fly away.

One day we got to watch Brody while Kasen went to a class with his mom. Tylee didn't want to leave his side the whole time we had him. She loves Brody. She did keep asking "Where Kasen Go" though. She loves her two cousins so much and she can't wait for more.
See this lil beaut? Yep I earned this very car with Mary Kay. It should be here in about a month :) Can't wait. Free with 85% of the insurance covered, free registration, and no buying tires!!! Woot woot thats my kinda new car. Along with this I have earned a class ring, trip to Cabo, $500 check, coach handbag, multiple lunches, and became the youngest director in all of Mona Butter's National Area!!! Not bad for a 20 year old!! I love this business. Its definitely not what I thought it would be like. Hopefully more pictures to come :)
She loves pupcakes!

****DIQ****

This is going to be a sort of lame post.. but I do kind of want to document it because it is a huge step in my life/business. I submitted for Director In Qualification (DIQ) today for Mary Kay. Basically what this means is that I am submitting for directorship. I am almost a Mary Kay Sales Director. To be honest I am really proud of myself and have a really good feeling of accomplishment. I know that I still have a bit of work ahead of me to do, but I think that me becoming a director before I even turn 21 is a huge accomplishment. There are plenty of people who gave Mary Kay a shot and honestly didn't try so obviously it didn't work for them. I just keep doing facials. When someone cancels, I book more. When someone doesn't show up. I book more. I ALWAYS do 30 facials in 30 days. And I am succeeding. I can't wait till I get my car in May. I have been told so many times that I can't do it. I have even told myself that sometimes, but yet I keep going and the results DO pay off. I am so excited and I just wanted to document this little success because by the end of May, Camille will be a Sales Director :) :) :) and have a free car!! No biggie.... YAY!

.Can't. .Wait. .For. .Summer.

New Clothes for Tylee Bugs:

With this bipolar cache valley weather it is hard to know whether it is winter, or spring. I love warm weather and the other day it was SO warm. Tylee and I were super bored so we decided to go shopping while daddy was in class. :) Tylee's clothes from last year are obviously going to be too small for this summer so SHOPPING SPREE... And this is why I love having a little girl. Here are some of the cute new outfits that we got for her to wear in the sunny NorCal this summer! I am so excited:

~Opportunity of a LifEtIMe~

For those of you who don't know me or don't know my family or in-laws I will hopefully get to post about each of them here soon, but I wanted to write a little snippet about an amazing opportunity that I have had and the changes it has made in my little families life....

For those of you who don't know my mother-in-law, Julie Griffin, you might not know that she is a sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics. For those of you who do know her then you probably do. But she is a sales director and drives the free famous pink cadillac that they give away. So she is pretty into her business and career. So obviously when I married her son Brandon a couple years ago she is going to want to get her daughter-in-law (ME) to sell it with her right?!
So she signed me up as a consultant.

Well I didn't want anything to do with selling it. I loved the products and would get them for myself, but I had absolutely no interest in selling anything to anyone.

But..... when I had Tylee, Brandon was working full time and doing school full time.. That was killing us. He would get up and be at school by either 7 or 9am and he would be there till about 3 in the afternoon and then go to work the swing shift at Paragon from 3:30 till midnight....

So because I am a pharmacy technician and that pays pretty well, I decided that I would go back to work part time and Brandon would then only have to work part time. There was only one problem with that scenario... I couldn't find a job ANYWHERE... No one was hiring any technicians at that time and I didn't want to take on a different job that would only pay a few dollars an hour after paying for day care. So I thought about MK.. I decided maybe it wasn't such a bad idea, and I should just give it a shot. If it didn't work out, I figured I could cross it off of my list forever and get on with life.

The first week that I really tried working it I made almost as much as Brandon. Only I did it in about 6 hours that he made in 40 hours. So I figured this was a good way to make some money.. So I began my quest. I only focused on doing 30 facials in a month - I figured it was at the most 40 hours in a month so about 10 hours a week. I didn't do it because of the free car - that was for other people. I continued to do it to help out our little family and also because it was FUN! I have learned so much about skin care and different tips on make up and things that I loved and I also get to meet new people and lots of other perks. Since I started I pretty much have only REALLY worked about 7-8 months and I have gotten free luggage and a hotel gift card and lots of jewelry and other fun things in addition to making money off of products and I have also earned quite a bit in commission which is above and beyond selling as well. I really like this company and what it allows for women. I feel like I can put my priorities in order. I feel like I have more time to spend with my family and if something comes up - like tylee getting sick or I have a test due in college, I can work my job around my life instead of my working my life around my job.

Since starting, I have only tried to do 30 facials in a month and last December, I found out that I was on target for a free car!! WHAT?!?! I feel like I haven't really done that much and I am going to get a free car! My goal is to finish earning by the end of this month (March) so that hopefully I can have it before May (right after finals). I don't have to do that much and it is super fun. If any of you have questions please feel free to contact me. I'm not going to try to push anyone into doing anything.. It has just been such a blessing in my families life and it could be for you too. If I can do it, anyone can.. The first facial I ever did I forgot to have the girls wash off their cleanser.. so seriously it can't get worse than that.

- Brandon and Shannon -

Here is a small tribute to my oldest brother and his wife Shannon. Today is their anniversary! They are one of my favorite examples. They have the two cutest little boys in the world ~Kasen 3 and ~Brody about 7 months. They are so much to have around. Here is a few of the main reasons that I love this family:
1}: Shannon is the best example of a mom, she has her hands full with those two little boys and her house is always clean. She is always doing fun things with them and trying new things. She knows how to treat her children and is great example of someone with a lot of patience.
2}: Brandon has always been one of my favorite older brothers. I remember him teasing me ALL the time. He has taught me a lot by his examples. He also is very good at talking to other people and making them feel important. I have seen this a lot. Also he knows EVERYONE. I swear it doesn't matter where we go, he has someone he finds that he knows from somewhere. It just goes to show that he is really outgoing and fun person to be around.
3}: Shannon has been kind enough to watch Tylee for next to nothing while I have been swinging school and jobs. Even with two young kids at home she has been willing to watch little Tylee. And Tylee loves her so much. She is always saying 'Tasen, Bwody, and shannnn...(or something close). She would go over to their house any day she could. And she hates coming home. She loves those guys.
4}: I know that if I am ever in a tight position or need help, I know that I can count on Brandon and Shannon to help me and my little family out. They are seriously amazing.
5}: They were the first in my family (besides my parents) to get married in the temple and I still remember the day of their wedding. It was FREEZING! But it was beautiful and it was very fun to get to share that day with them and see their examples. I know that being worthy to go to the temple isn't always the easiest thing, but it is so worth it and I am thankful to these two for starting

this in our family. We love you guys and hope you have a happy anniversary!!!

Pinterest and Facebook...

As I am sitting up at about 2 a.m. browsing on my pinterest and facebook accounts I found the GREATEST picture in the world. I can't express the truth of this. It sure will be funny to see us all as grandparents cruisin around on the internet... I wonder what the newer generations will have decades from now. Maybe contact lenses that have screens on them so they can surf the web with just their eyes?! Who knows what technology will come up with? For me I am certainly grateful for the advancements the internet gives and the ease of doing school and projects. I really can't wait though to see what our generation will be like in years from now... well i can but it will be funny. I am sure it will be here before we all know it.
